Content & DMCA Policy

Effective date: 2026-08-08

This policy is part of the ShowDrop Terms of Service and governs content uploaded to and produced by the ShowDrop service operated by Stoneclad Media.

1. Your Content, Your Responsibility

ShowDrop processes footage you upload and publishes only where you direct. You are the owner and publisher of your content. By uploading content, you represent and warrant that:

  1. You own the content or hold all licenses, rights, consents, and permissions needed to upload, process, and publish it — including rights covering co-hosts, guests, and other on-camera participants, and any music, clips, images, or other third-party material embedded in your footage;
  2. Where recording-consent laws apply, all participants consented to being recorded;
  3. Your content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, right of publicity, privacy right, or other right of any third party;
  4. Your content complies with the Acceptable Use rules in the Terms of Service (no unlawful content, no content exploiting minors, no hate speech, no fraud or impersonation).

Uploading content you don't have rights to is a material breach of the Terms and can result in content removal, job cancellation, and account suspension or termination.

2. Content-Safety Holds

ShowDrop applies automated content-safety screening to uploaded and processed content. Content flagged for hate speech or other serious violations is placed on an automatic safety hold: processing stops and nothing is rendered or published.

When a hold occurs you will see the hold status in your dashboard and receive an email notice identifying the affected job.

Appealing a safety hold

Automated screening can produce false positives — for example, a podcast episode discussing extremism critically is not the same as promoting it. To appeal:

  1. Email michael@stonecladmedia.com with subject "Safety hold appeal," or use the in-app appeal option on the held job;
  2. Identify the job and briefly explain the context of the flagged material;
  3. A human reviews every appeal. We respond within 2 business days.

If the hold is overturned, the job is re-run at no additional token cost (or tokens re-credited). If the hold is upheld, we will tell you why, the content will not be processed, and repeated attempts to process violating content may result in account termination.

3. Copyright Infringement — DMCA Notice and Takedown

Stoneclad Media respects intellectual-property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you believe content hosted or processed on ShowDrop infringes your copyright, notify our designated agent:

> DMCA Designated Agent > Stoneclad Media — ShowDrop > [AGENT NAME] > [MAILING ADDRESS] > Email: [DMCA EMAIL, e.g., dmca@showdrop.ai] > > [Register this agent with the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory before launch.]

3.1 Filing a takedown notice

Your written notice must include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
  2. Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it (URL, job ID, or episode identifier);
  3. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Knowingly making a materially false claim of infringement can expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

3.2 What we do on receipt

On receiving a valid notice we will promptly remove or disable access to the identified material, notify the affected user and provide them a copy of the notice, and record the complaint.

3.3 Counter-notification

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send our designated agent a counter-notice containing: identification of the removed material and its prior location; a statement under penalty of perjury of your good-faith belief that removal was a mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and phone number; consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., for the district where our agent is located) and to accept service from the complainant; and your signature. Unless the complainant notifies us within 10–14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material.

3.4 Repeat infringers

We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Our working standard is termination after [N, e.g., three] substantiated infringement complaints not resolved by valid counter-notice.

4. Other Complaints

For trademark, privacy, defamation, or right-of-publicity complaints about content processed or published via ShowDrop, email [LEGAL EMAIL, e.g., legal@showdrop.ai] with the content location, the right at issue, and your contact information. Because published episodes live on the user's own channels (e.g., YouTube), platform-level complaints should also be filed with the hosting platform.

5. Preservation and Disclosure

We may preserve and disclose content and account information where required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of users, third parties, or the Service.

6. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be announced by email or in-product. The current version lives at showdrop.ai/content-policy.
